NDIS Resources for Participants

Below is a list of helpful resources to support you in understanding and making the most of your NDIS plan. Click each section to learn more or open the links directly.

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to Australians with disability to access the supports and services they need to live more independently and work towards their goals.

🔗 Visit the official NDIS website

Types of Funded Supports

The NDIS funds different types of supports, depending on your goals and needs. These may include:

  • Core Supports – everyday activities and assistance

  • Capacity Building Supports – helping you build skills and independence

  • Capital Supports – equipment, home modifications, or housing

NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits

Using Your NDIS Plan

Once you receive your plan, it’s important to understand:

  • How your funding is managed (Self, Plan, or NDIA managed)

  • What supports you can use and how to claim

  • How to track your funding through the myplace portal

Plan Reviews and Changes

Plans aren’t set in stone. You can request a plan reassessment (review) if your situation changes or if you believe your plan doesn’t meet your current needs.

Psychosocial Disability Supports

If you live with a psychosocial disability (a disability arising from mental health issues), the NDIS can fund specific supports to help you build capacity, increase stability, and participate fully in life.

You have the choice and control to select providers that best meet your needs. A Support Coordinator can help you find and connect with the right people and services.
